Down and Out in Newcastle and Sunderland

Finally finished this small, mini summer project. I'm confident that I will be able to continue my visual exploration of the north in my up and coming 10 week project.

I know most of this has been seen but its nice to get everything together in one post.

Killer Noodles

I've finally completed my summer project! It was a mini book about me getting attacked and dragged into a big bowl of noodles to symbolise having to work all summer. A little bit weird, sure! Anyway here's a page from it...

Progress...

Aaaand here's a half done progress picture from me, Buffalo, for the collaboration with Frost.

It's not finished. At all. But I hope someone likes it so far.

The Sun

Another double page spread of my summer project completed. Its kind of looking at the prevailing attitudes of Northerners when it comes to news media. Its quite self-depreciating really.

Murder on the Mind

I've not posted anything in a while as I am currently experiencing Illustrators block. Here's a relatively quick piece I did, not a lot of sophistication involved, but the brutality of the contrast seems to work.

Sex, Death, Religion

Don't worry, this isn't some sort of anti-smoking campaign. This skull is clearly enjoying fag time. This took me bloody ages, it's all hand drawn, and was done in pencil. Take what ever meaning you want from it.

Topshop

I've drawn this image from an advertisement for Topshop that I liked. I kept the colours simple but picked out red to make it stand out more. Parts of the image have been left incomplete, mainly on the jacket sleave. It started out as a pencil sketch which I then went onto define and add colour digitally.

Simples

For this sketch I have chosen to focus on line rather than shading, it is a self portrait. The whole thing has a simplistic look about it as I have chosen to leave it incomplete. It was drawn very quickly toin order to keep the lines as free as possible.

-Work Around the Scribble-

I don't quite know what this piece is about, i decided to randomly scribble some shapes and lines and create something from it and this is the end result. Some random things going on in there but i was thinking about my mum at the time so that might be why its a woman but what its about is unknown to me haha, your guess is as good as mine, write me your suggestions if you want, on your interpretation of it. cheers!
